How to break the Administrator password in Windows 7 and XP using Hiren Boot CD 15.2

The process will show you how can we break the Administrator password and other user log in password in Windows.  This was tested in all versions of Windows XP, Vista and Seven (not tested on Windows 8). To break the password we need a 3rd party application named as "Hiren Boot CD". Hiren boot CD is able to break the Administrator password and user password in Windows. Download Hiren Boot CD from www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ and make a boot able disc or create a boot able pen drive for Hiren Boot CD. The below process will show you how can we do the same in Hiren Boot CD 15.2 .  The steps are similar for all versions but may the graphics and location of commands may vary.

1. First make a boot able USB drive or CD for Hiren Boot CD 15.2

2. Restart your PC/Laptop and boot from the USB/CD where you have put the Hiren Boot CD files.

3. Choose “Off line NT/2000/X P/Vista/7 Password Changer”.

4.  Now wait for some time to load the “Off line NT Password & Registry Editor”

5.  Now the step to choose the correct drive where the Windows is installed. If you have more than one Operating System then choose the correct drive and hit "Enter".  Otherwise type the number corresponding to the correct partition on your Windows Installation drive and hit "Enter".

5. Now it will ask to confirm the registry path. By default the registry path will be correct so hit "Enter" only. If the registry path has changed by the user then you need to manually enter it.

6.  Now you need to choose the "Password Reset [Sam System Security]" option. So type 1 and hit "Enter".

7.  Now you need to choose the "Edit User Data and Password "option. So type 1 and hit "Enter".

8. Now it will show all the available user list with the Administrator. Now just Enter the USERNAME whose password you want to change and hit "Enter".

9. It will show you the list of available options to break password of that user.

      1. Clear (Blank) User Password - It will remove the user password.

     2. Edit (Set New) user password. - It will ask you to modify the user name and Enter a new password for that User

10. Just type 1 and hit "Enter". It will remove the password for that user.

11. You will get a message of "Password Cleared".

12. Now type ! And hit Enter to close the User Editor Tool.

13.  Now type q and hit Enter to close the Offline Password Editor and Registry tool.

14.  Now type y and hit Enter to confirm the password change. 

15. Now it will ask you whether you want to use it again or not. Just type n and hit Enter.

16. Remove your Hiren Disc and press "ALT + Ctrl + Del" to restart your system

17. That is it. Your Password is now braked and you will not get any password on your next log-in.

4. Now a folder with the name CON will be created.
5. Theis folder can be easily deleted.

How to take ownership of a file or folder (either system or not) in windows

In the above process due to some reason some errors occurred like we are unable to save the file or some error message comes like "Destination to folder access is denied" or "Folder location is not available" or "Access is denied".

Process to take ownership of a file in windows 7:

1. Select the file or folder whose ownership you want to take and right click of mouse on it and choose "Properties".
2. On the property window navigate to "Security" tab.

3. Click on "Advanced".
4. On the open advanced security option window navigate to "Owner" tab.
5. Now click on "Edit".
6. a new window for advanced security option will be opened.
7. you will find a table asking for "Change owner to". Now select the local user to which you want to take the ownership.
8. Below that you will find an check box "replace owner on sub containers and objects".
9. Just tick the check box.

10. Now apply all the modified setting.
11. During apply the changes it will show an message "You dont have the permission to read the file or the contents of the directory. Do you want to change the permission of the file or folder to full control. All permission will be replaced if you press ok".
12. Just ignore the message and Press ok.

How to enable or disable "Open file - Security warning " message in windows Xp, Vista and Seven

Generally this message appars during opening a file or application that is downloaded from internet. You can enable or disable the message by the following process

1. Open Control panel and navigate to Internet Properties option. Now choose "Internet Properties".
or Type "inetcpl.cpl" without quotes on RUN window or in the start search box And hit enter.
2. Internet Properties window will be open.
3. Now navigate to "Security" tab.
4. Choose "custom level".
5. A new window for "Security setting" will be opened.
6. Now search for "Launching application and unsafe files (not recommended)"
7. There you will find the three option. (Disable, enable and prompt .)
   By default prompt option will be selected.

8. Work of those options
Disable - This will not allow the file or application to be run.
Enable(not secure) - This will not show any warning before opening the application and file.
Prompt(recommended) - This will ask every time before opening those.
9. Choose the option of your own that what behaviour you want to see for those files and application.

How to get the Faster search result in windows XP, Vista and Seven

In otherwords turns off indexing to get faster search result.
Generally windows keeps a record of all the files stored in your computer. So when ever we search for a file or folder in our search box it gives us the result from there. By turn on the indexing search becomes faster than before. It increases the search speed but it decreases the normal file command like open, close, copy, move etc..
If you do not need to search from a lot then you can also turn this feature off.
To turn on the feature follow these:
1. Open my computer.
2. Right click on a drive and select properties.
3. At the boom of the properties window you will see "Index this drive for faster searching" (Screenshot is from vista OS you will find the similar term on others)

4. For faster searching tick it. otherwise uncheck it.
5. A new pop up window will appear asking apply this to all subfolders or not. Select apply to all subfolder and click Ok.
6. It will take some time depending upon your system speed.
After the process ends you will feel the changes.

Increase the system speed by deleting the temporary files in windows Xp, Vista and Seven

After some times of uses of windows temporary files on various location are created. Which may increase time to time, After some days it becomes a huge amount which affect our system and it goes down slow. So we have to delete those temporary files periodically.
Out of various temporary folder location here we described about the three.
1. folder which contain the temporary windows files
2, Folder which contain the temporary local user files.
3. Prefetch folder.

To delete the temporary files from the above folders follow these steps:
1. type the following codes (temp or %temp% or prefetch) in Run window or in start search box.
2. Then hit enter.
3. A folder will be opened after requesting your permission.
4. Select all the files from the folder and delete the files. (Don't delete the containing folder it will may harm your system)
5. Type all the three codes one by one to delete all the temporary files.
After deleting all the temporary files don't forget to empty the Recycle Bin.
After that your system processing speed will become a little faster.

How to correct system hangs during startup of windows XP, Vista and Seven

Sometimes we face a problem like After logon on windows our system continues to hangs for sometimes (2 or 3 minute). At that time we are unable to access the start button as well as the taskbar. Mouse shows the busy symbol.This is due to a specific service named as "Background Intelligent Transfer". If we disable this service then only we will recover from this .
Steps:
1. Type "msconfig" without quotes on start search box or in RUN window and then hit enter.
2. A new window named "System Configuration" will be opened.
3. Now navigate to "Services" tab.
4. Search for Background Intelligent Transfer and uncheck it.

5. Now apply the changes and click on OK.
6. It will ask for reboot. Then just reboot your system and enjoy the changes.

How to make or create Turbo C++ (TC++) full screen in Windows Vista

Steps:
 1. Open TC++ (normally C:\TC\BIN\TC.EXE). In the start up it will show a dialogue box that It doesn’t support full screen mode.Just select ignore option. Then it will open in  the small screen mode.
2. Go to the top left of the window and click. It will show a menu.Then select properties from the menu.
3.  Now it will show the properties window, in which you select the Font tab. There you can see two font options as Raster and Lucida Console. The default will be Raster.You select Lucida Console and select the size from the size list as 28.
4 After selecting the fonts, now you have to select the layout tab where you can see Screen buffer size, window size, and window position options.First unselect the “Let system position window” option from window position options 
Now make the following changes:
    Screen Buffer Size: Width: 82 Heights: 28
    Window Size: Width: 80 Height: 26
    Window Position: Left: -4 Top: -4
5. Then press “OK” button.

After saving all the changes restart your TC++ program. Like previous it will show a dialogue box that It doesn’t support full screen mode.Just select ignore option. Then it will not open in the small screen mode but it will open as full screen.
