Features of Maxthon 3.2.1.2000 :
1.Dual Display Engines
Ultra Mode
Maxthon uses the Ultra Mode, powered by the Webkit rendering engine, by default. It will switch automatically to Retro Mode, powered by the Trident rendering engine, as needed to display older-style Web pages. You can switch manually to Retro Mode by clickto the right of the Address Bar.
Retro Mode
Some older web pages, not written for newer standards, are distorted, have features that don’t work, don’t display at all, or even crash other browsers. Usually Maxthon 3 will recognize these pages and automatically switche to Retro Mode, designed for those older pages. If the Retro display engine fails to fix a problem automatically, click thebutton to the right of the Address Bar. Clicking the button switches modes, which should fix the page. The next time you visit the website, Maxthon will automatically use whatever mode is best for that website.
2. Mouse Gesture
Maxthon's Mouse Gesture feature lets you navigate through the web by moving the mouse in patterns that tell the browser to go back, forward, refresh, and even hide. That's just the beginnning. You can create your own gestures by selecting a mouse move and tying it to many different commands.
For example:
(1)Right:Forward;
(2)Down->Right:Close current page;
(3)Down->Left:Repen recently closed page;
......
Take a few moments and go to Menu/Options/Mouse Gesture to set up your own. Once you do, you'll wonder how you surfed without it. It makes things easy, putting things right at your mouse tips....So to speak.
3.Super Drag&Drop
Drag and Drop to open new pages and images or perform a web search.
(1) To open a new page: Hold the left mouse button on a hyperlink, drag it a few pixels and drop it. It will open that link in a new tab.
(2)Top open an image: Hold the left mouse button on an image, drag and drop it. It will open the image in a new tab in the background.
(3)To perform a search: Hold the left mouse button on highlighted text and drag and drop it. It will execute a search with your default search engine and show the results in a new tab.
4. Smart Address Bar
Search by typing your keywords right into the address bar. Press "Enter" button,"F6" or "Go" button to execute the search.
Sometimes after you input keywords, you'll see recommendation prompt containing related keywords. The prompt includes top sites, your history and your favorites related to those keywords. You can limit this recommendation to only top sites by hiding history and favorites in the options menu
5. Magic Fill
After you enter the username and password for a website, Magic Fill will securely save and automatically enter them on future visits. To use it, right click on the field after you fill it in. Once you login successfully, Maxthon 3 will prompt you one last time to save it to Magic Fill. Say yes and that'll be the last time you have to do that for *that* website. Manage your saved usernames and passwords by going to Menu/Options/Magic Fill.
6.Popup Blocker
Popup Blocker is the core of Maxthon 3’s Ad Hunter. Enable the feature and it will block annoying pop-ups automatically.
